Overview:

IPRO, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ designated Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for New York, is tasked with reducing adverse drug events (ADEs) and hospital readmissions among Medicare beneficiaries across the State. QIOs are directed by CMS in the 11th Statement of Work (11SoW) to use health information technology to screen beneficiaries for ADEs and help providers utilize new or existing evidence‐based tools and practices to improve the care of those prescribed high risk medications, specifically anticoagulants, diabetic agents and opioids.

This webinar will serve as an introduction to IPRO’s Preventing and Reducing Adverse Drug Events (PARADE) initiative for new communities and provide information for those communities entering PARADE Cycle 2.

eMOLST Application Demonstration – 01/14/14
This webinar provides an overview and demonstration of eMOLST (Medical Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment) provided by Dr. Patricia Bomba . The eMOLST is a web-based application that documents the clinical process, including goals for care discussion, as well as the legal requirements. The eMOLST application simplifies and improves the workflow around completing the information required for a legal medical order with automated user feedback for quality review and notification of missing information and training tools for users. At the end of the process a DOH-5003 MOLST form and the appropriate MOLST Chart Documentation Form for adults, minors, or persons with developmental disabilities are created.
